SoftwareUpdateFix Description:

SoftwareUpdateFix is Free program for Mac OS X developed by Tim Goeree

This Applescript could fix a splintered OS X Software Update in the case of an inaccuracy of this kind: "Make sure you have permissions to create to /tmp/501/TemporaryItems/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate". This script copies the "tar" case needed by Software Update to the right place. The "tar" case not being there is the cause of the problem, which is consequently fixed by this script. This script also repairs permissions in case that could be portion of the problem. What's New: Version 1.1: Now includes the tar case. Some OSX installations seemed to miss the case on the assumed place. This release should fix this.
